Description

Beautiful and complete, A Vintage Stanley Bailey No 4C corrugated sole smooth plane. It is approx 9 inches long with a blade width of 2 inches.
It is a type 16 manufactured between 1931 to 1944, approx 85 years ago. This was the height or pinnacle of Stanley’s quality.
The plane appears to be practically unused. No apologies for this fine tool. Metal bed and all other metal parts are excellent, no cracks breaks, or repairs. Black jappaning finish is perfect, pretty much 100 percent.
The premium rosewood handles are very beautiful, no cracks, splits, chips or repairs. Not even any tool box dings, just a couple of smudges
The blade is original and correct to the plane, full length and freshly sharpened with the correct 25 degree bevel
This plane has the important frog adjustment screw and All adjustments move and work smoothly. Will make a great user or collector.
This listing also includes an adjustable Spokeshave like Stanley’s no 151, but I don’t see a makers mark. It looks brand new. It is very sharp with what appears to be original bevel. Cuts very well. Fine user.
