Vintage Japanese Geisha Odori ‘Maiogi' Folding Dance Fan from Kyoto: SeptY
This Maiogi Dance Fan was made by
one of Kyoto’s most renown fan makers.  It came from an Odori Dance School in Gion
. It is sturdy and sound without any structural issues and looks great. It is either for dance practice or for display...
Is is multi-color swirl design. The bamboo struts are finished in glossy black lacquer. It measures:
20” or 51cm across when open and 11½” or 29cm long when closed. It comes in its original box.
It is used and has minor edge wear in a few places and a signature on one edge so we are selliing this as a ‘vintage' item. We have taken it’s quality & condition into consideration in the price. See photos for other details… The first two photos show each side of the fan.

Note that due to reduced flights, JAPAN POST has suspended Air Parcel service to the USA, Australia and a few other countries (Europe is not effected). It is not known how long this will last but in the meantime, we are using JAPAN POST SURFACE mail which has tracking and insurance but can take about 60 days to the USA.
Alternatively, for an additional charge, YAMATO INTERNATIONAL offers extremely fast door to door service for a flat-rate for their various size boxes. The smallest “60cm” box is to most countries, can hold up to two kg and measures 27 X 19 X 19cm and arrives in about a week.
Note that as these measures are temporary, we can not change the existing rates for all of our hundreds of listings but will notify you immediately if it effects your purchase.
