Stanley No. 80 Cabinet Scraper, Made In England, Mint In Box!

This is a Stanley No. 80 cabinet scraper with the original box and instructions, it's in mint condition.
This scraper appears to have very little if any use, there are no scratches on the sole or iron. This example was made in England with both the iron and body marked as such. Unfortunately, these are no longer being made in England as they have outsourced production.
The scraper is in mint condition with 100% japanning, a pristine blade, original decal and zero rust or decay.  The tool measures about 11 1/2" and the blade is 2 1/4" wide.  The box is in near mint condition with some light staining in places.
The No. 80 scraper is an excellent tool for smoothing large tops and surfaces.  The blade is held tight at a slight angle and the handles allow you to use the tool with little effort.  The scraper allows you to smooth the slight imperfections left from a hand plane or other tools and it's much better than sandpaper.  The included booklet shows how to sharpen the blade leaving a burr which will leave an exceptionally smooth surface.
A beautiful example and a tool every woodworker should have on the bench.
