Stanley No. 604 Bedrock Corrugated Bottom Plane Woodworking Tool Type 3

Description

This is a Stanley No. 606 Bedrock corrugated bottom plane wood working carpentry type 3.  This plane has been derusted top bottom and sides and has been repainted.  This does have light staining/pitting on the sides and bottom all from normal everyday use.  All the hardware is clean and coated with carnauba paste wax.  The lever cap is wrong for this Type (age).   The knob and tote have been refinished.  This does have uneven mouth wear (photo 10).  The iron has been sharpened by hand with a Veritas MK II at 25 degrees through 4 grits including extra fine diamond stones.  The white spots that you are seeing is from reflecting light.   All our restored/refurbished planes antique tools are ready to use and will make a great addition to a collection.  We try to make sure all restored refurbished planes/tools are correct to their type (age).  If we have to replace a part not correct for that type (age) it will be noted.  Please see all photos closeup for a more accurate description of the condition of this  item.
