Up for auction is a Stanley no.2 Type 14 small smoothing plane . Manufactured 1929-30 by the Stanley Rule & Level Company . Condition is Fine . Original japanning is near 98% Exotic tote and knob have excellent original finish and beautiful grain. Tote still has most of the Stanley tools decal. Blade is full length marked with the Sweetheart logo iron . No rust or pitting No breaks or repairs . Iron is still fairly sharp and plane is ready to go in a collection or would make a beautiful user. A fine example of a type 14 no.2 . Will be great for any collection and upgrade to most .
