Stanley Bedrock Planes Complete Collection 602-608.
Includes the Fractionals 604 1/2, 605 1/4, 605 1/2.
One of a kind decor for a man cave.
There are probably a couple other tool collectors with a complete set of Bedrocks, but I doubt that there are many. NONE will have a Rosewood Trimmed Rack.
Stanley and Bedrock were to my Grandfather what Craftsman and Cadillac were to Dad and I. Bedrock was Stanley’s Premium Hand Plane. This type was in production from 1910 - 1935 although two of these were still in production until 1943. It took 7 years, thousands of miles, and dozens of tool meets to put this collection together. Planes came from Atlanta, Seattle, Portland Or. Louisville, Racine, Rockford, St. Charles, Chicago, & Batavia.
The Till (rack) has Rosewood trim, dividers, and brackets on 1/2” Baltic Birch. It hangs with French cleats, and may have a light added.
Rosewood came from a guitar maker’s estate and is estimated to be from the 70s.
