    RARE BEAUTY! Stanley No. 43 MILLER'S PATENT Adjustable Plow Plane
    WHAT A FABULOUS OLD PLANE!!  One for the connoisseur!  Like her big sister, the No.41 Miller's Patent, this No.43 Miller's is one of the most beautiful planes Stanley ever made.  The only real difference between the 41 and 43 is that the 43 has no fillester bed nor any provision (holes in the skate) for one.  And the 43 is the rarer of the two.  If you are going to collect just one, it should, of course, be the No. 41; however, no serious Stanley collection can be complete without the 43.
    This well preserved and complete example is a late Type 6 (1883-4) .  Save for having acquired a century's worth of wonderful patina, little has changed since this beautiful plane left New Britain almost 140 years ago.  Lightly cleaned, about 95% of the original japanning remains.  There is a tiny chip on the top left side of the handle otherwise the finish remains largely intact.  There is no chipping, dinging, rusting or pitting anywhere in the metal.
    A proper (and original) 3/8" plow iron is included.  (Note John Walter's comment that the Miller's patent is seldom found with cutter sets and thus he has priced them as having only one cutter.)
    An excellent example of the Miller's 43. Not one the compleat Stanley collector will want to miss.  You will not see another one any better anytime soon - if ever.  BUT It NOW!
