Easily one of if not the
Rarest
Barbie related doll cases ever issued... Offered for sale from my personal collection is this
Vintage & Rare
1964 Skipper (White) version with the Red Skipper wording on the front & issued 57 years ago by Mattel Canada. This is the elusive
"White Version"
which is mentioned but not pictured in the Encyclopedia of Barbie Doll family & friends Licensed products guide on page 376 & listed as Rare & a guide value of
0 plus
10 yrs ago & thats if you can find one !!!! This Rare & Desired doll case was issued by Mattel Canada for the much smaller Canadian market in much smaller #'s as compared to the USA issued cases of that time. This particular case was issued in blue & white & both versions are very sought after...However the white version rarely shows up for sale. What sets this case aside as noted in that guide was that this white version also came with & without the
Red "Skipper" name on the front
. In my years of collecting this is the
ONLY
example i've ever seen with that Skipper name present on the case. The case is in Fine condition & is easily the Rarest doll case i have ever owned & surely the prize of my doll case collection. I have had this in my collection for years but time to send it to a new home..This particular Barbie collectible is a sure
